At Diving Sports, we are committed to training excellent divers. An Open Water course certifies all students who complete it to dive with another certified buddy any time they want without a Divemaster or Instructor present. Since that requires significant comfort and control on behalf of the student, we include 6 separate confined water sessions to give divers time to master all the required skills before progressing to the ocean. We also include drysuit training for the Open Water Course to all students at no extra cost, and 2 of the confined water training sessions will be completed using drysuits.
We don’t believe in pushing students to finish when they are not ready. We also believe that certifications are not bought, they are earned. All our students are paying for excellent education to prepare them to dive safely in the underwater environment.
At Diving Sports we believe in making sure all our students receive the highest quality instruction and customer service. We are in the business of training, mentoring, and supporting people to become safe, skillful and confident divers. We begin by scheduling our courses with the number of classes it typically takes most students to master the knowledge and skills, then adapt and tailor our schedule to fit our individual student’s needs. Our instructors are open and honest about your progress during each part of the course. Students may need to schedule additional pool or ocean training dives prior to certification. This ensures our students complete their courses with all the skills and knowledge they need to be safe and enjoy their future dives and courses. What is our Deluxe Beginner Package?
This package is designed to give new divers the opportunity to expand on their experience, receive more training, and come out of the Open Water Program as more confident and capable divers. We have included an extra weekend of diving with your instructor to complete the Drysuit Specialty certification and work on dive planning/execution, buoyancy control, and comfort in the water. We call this our Diving Sports Level 1 package because you will be doing twice as many dives as a standard Open Water course without trying to rush through skills. We will be able to spend all the time we need to make sure your skills are ready for the next step in your diving adventure.
What is Included:
Equipment Rental :
All equipment rental during the training included in this package is included (excluding mask and snorkel). Students are encouraged to ask their instructors what gear they should look at purchasing
Transportation :
Transport can be provided from our shop to the dive site. We have our shop van (limited to a 6 passenger maximum capacity). Available passenger places in the shop van will be provided on a first-come-first-serve basis.
BUDDY SPECIAL :
Having a buddy is not required as divers will always be ‘buddied’ up if alone but there are discounts available for more than one student signing up. You will receive a 50$ in-store gift card to spend on any future purchase!

We have an uncompromising commitment to safety, and choose quality over quantity when instructing our courses. Our team has decades of experience training divers in our local waters at all levels. We only offer small group training with a maximum of 4 students per instructor to ensure that each student gets the individualized attention they deserve.
